Meet Elisabeth – Chief Officer
Can you introduce yourself?
Hi, I am Elisabeth and I am working as Chief officers on a beautiful and highly equipped LNG gas carrier Coral EnergICE, sailing in an challenging but idyllic surrounding.
I started more than 7 years ago working for Anthony Veder. as 3/O. While growing towards the rank of Chief Officer I’ve sailed on different ships, in different sailing areas, and with different cargos.
What do you like most at Anthony Veder?
The many different kind of vessels and cargos Anthony Veder operates is what inspired me in the first place to join the company. This turned out to be a great experience for my learning curve and my own development.
Later on, I learned that Anthony Veder also set clear goals and I enjoy being a part of the transition the company makes to get future-proof.
What do you value most about Anthony Veder?
Gas carriers have a lot of mechanical equipment on deck to handle the cargo’s even as a nautical officer you’re not only considered to be an operator but also involved in the maintenance. Being able to combine sailing aspects with technical skills is what makes the job most interesting to me.
Furthermore, at Anthony Veder we believe in open-minded culture and the idea is to use the strength of each individual. I feel that this friendly and personal approach really works for me. The low threshold atmosphere carried on board and in contact with the office.
I most appreciate the hands-on and no-nonsense mentality together with the approachable atmosphere. Additionally to encourage this belief they organize trainings and invest in profiling each employee.
