What you (may) expect
In this role you will be part of the HR Marine department. The HR Marine department is responsible for all HR matters for the personnel aboard the Anthony Veder fleet. Among other things, the HR Marine department is responsible for providing trained and motivated crew within AV’s business requirements. You are responsible for a large group of seafarers, their budgets and crew composition on board. This includes the planning and development of the Captains and Chief engineers and coordination with our manning agents.
The objective of the Crewing Manager position is to plan for the efficient manning of the fleet in such a way as to maximize the ships’ utilization.
• Ensure that crew planning meets the requirements of our clients.
• First point of contact for the crew regarding Crewing matters and if necessary, also point of contact for his/her family members.
• Actively contributes to the crew development and improvement of working practices and procedures to the HR Marine department.
• Responsible for conducting appraisal conversations with the master and chief engineer together with the vessel manager.
• First point of contact and responsible for handling illness cases and individual development plans.
• Actively involved in recruiting new staff and the associated recruitment activities.

What we ask
• You have completed a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• You have demonstratable experience with analyzing data and reporting
• You have good relationship management skills and know when to use which conversation techniques for best results.
• You have a good command (spoken and written) of the English language
• You are prepared to travel to our vessels.
