Digital Development Manager

Are you looking for a role where you can operationalize the ambition of an organization? Are you a person that can seamlessly navigate between long term direction setting and near term delivery? Read on and apply now for the role as Digital Development Manager (Program Manager)!

Navigating the future

Working at Anthony Veder means operating at the heart of the transition to a more sustainable world. We are always looking for new ways to challenge the status quo, developing new shipping solutions to help our clients reach their goals.

We work in a culture of trust, openness, and creativity. Always keeping an eye on short term value creation, as well as the long term to successfully navigate where we want to go. This is how we became pioneers in the maritime industry.

To meet the vision to be an ambitious leader in gas shipping service solutions, Anthony Veder needs a digital landscape that can deliver this. On our vessels and in our office, seamlessly connecting us to our suppliers and customers. The Digital Development team has formulated the Innovation roadmap to get us there. The Digital Development Managers translate this roadmap into concrete programs to deliver on it.

What to expect

For this role you understand that this delivery partly consists of translating fuzzy ideas into very concrete deliverables. And that technology in itself does not create value. Only used technology does. And that therefor successfully guiding the change and sentiments is equally important to successful delivery of this Innovation Roadmap, across all levels of the organization.

Your objective for the position of Digital Development Manager is to:

  • Make fuzzy problems and ideas into very concrete solutions that resonate with our business.
  • Manage and update a program of projects and oversee delivery.
  • Drive enthusiasm for change in a risk averse industry.
  • Drive and guide progress on project level.
  • Develop and initiate initiatives on a portfolio level.
  • Balance the initiative load between vision-driven and need-driven.

Additionally, what you can expect is:

  • A culture that expects and supports entrepreneurship.
  • A position that offers a lot of autonomy and expects a high level of ownership for that autonomy.
  • The opportunity to have a direct impact on the success of the organization to operationalize its ambition.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary.
  • 28 vacation days; with the option to buy five more days.
  • An employer-financed pension scheme.
  • A dynamic and challenging role in an entrepreneurial organization.
  • Combining working from home and at our beautiful office in Rotterdam’s shipping district.
  • Vitality initiatives, such as bootcamps and running groups every Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Travel allowance in the form of an NS Business Card; and 0,23ct per k/m from home to the office.

What we are looking for

  • A degree in Engineering, Maritime, Product design or a related field (higher professional education (HBO) or scientific/research education (WO, Bachelor or Master)).
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in project and program management.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of English.
  • Ability to organize, refine and manage your work.
  • Ability to connect long term thinking with short term actions and choices.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • The ability to communicate the ‘large picture’ and manage the details.
  • Proactivity.
