ANTHONY VEDER ADDS 9,000 CBM ETHYLENE CARRIER TO HER FLEET
Rotterdam, 27 January 2025
Anthony Veder has taken delivery of Yas, a 9,000 cbm Ethylene carrier. The gas carrier, delivered in the port of Yeosu, is renamed Coral Palmata. This addition will further strengthen the company’s fleet, comprising petrochemical and LNG carriers, to 29 vessels.
The vessel, previously owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), is suitable for the carriage of petrochemical gasses, offering the flexibility to employ Coral Palmata in the Ethylene trade as well as in products such as Propylene and Liquid Petrochemical Gas (LPG). As an integrated shipping company, Anthony Veder will be responsible for the technical and commercial ship management of Coral Palmata.
Jan Valkier, CEO of Anthony Veder says: “We are very proud to serve our customers even more flexibility and efficiency thanks to the addition of Coral Palmata. Built in 2014, the renamed Coral Palmata the youngest ethylene carrier worldwide in her segment and will contribute to the rejuvenation of our fleet. Acquiring this Ethylene carrier fits in our strategy to maintain and reinforce our position in shipping petrochemical gasses worldwide.”
During the last few weeks the crew completed a familiarisation and teambuilding program. This allowed them to get acquainted with Anthony Veder’s safety culture, each other, and the vessel, providing them with a foundation for the operational excellence our clients have come to expect.
